Literature Text

Some say heaven is above the stars,
But I say it's right here:
Lying on your bed entwined,
You nuzzling my ear.
I say heaven is by your side;
With you, everything is perfect, right.
No harm can befall me,
No one enthralls me
Like you.
Heaven's in your voice when you ask how I am
And you comfort me when my, "Good," doesn't sound true.
I say heaven is in your hands
When they're holding mine,
Rubbing my back,
Massaging my spine.
Heaven is in your very cells,
Embodied in your soul.
Without you I'm missing my stars;
Without you I'm not whole.
I say heaven is in your face,
On thy angel's lips;
They are the sun in space,
Encased in mine: Eclipse.
Some say heaven is beyond our minds;
Too much to imagine, to apply.
But I say it's you, allaying my fears,
Wiping my tears when I cry.
Heaven is as solid
As the Earth is packed;
You stand by me
When the odds are stacked.
Everyone needs a heaven
To love and belong with.
Some say they don't,
But that's just a myth.
Some say heaven is too far to see,
Others say it's too hard to construe,
But I know heaven is right here, with me,
With you
I know heaven is right here, with me, with you :heart:

This, if you take out the really intimate parts, can be for any one of your best friends, or for your lover. You choose who it's talking about. For me, I love this poem. Some verses speak to me of my best friends, others of my love. Enjoy!
